WILLIAM  BROWN  SR., 85 years of age of Mt. Nebo, passed away Thursday September 28, 2023 in the Stonerise  extended care center at Beckley.  He was the son of the late Norman H. and Lena E. Miller Brown and was born at Lundale April 10, 1938.  William was a retired coal miner and U.S. Army veteran.  He was a Christian and Freewill Baptist by faith.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday October 2nd in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Denver Danberry officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Stonerise extended care center at Beckley.
