WILLIAM  DAVID  KEYES,  93 years of age of Enon, passed away at the home of his daughter Evelyn on Sunday October 19,2025 in Salisbury, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Cora Elizabeth Keyes-Moore and was born at Gilboa July 18,1932. He was a former coal miner for Peerless Eagle Coal Company, worked for General Motors in Euclid, Ohio and retired from Island Creek Coal Company. He operated his own sawmill, loved to hunt and fish and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife Delta Belle Legg Keyes and second wife Mattie Wilma Metz Keyes.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday October 24th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville. Burial with military honors will be in the Moore Cemetery at Summersville. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Friday.
