WANDA  CAROL  NICHOLAS,  82 years of age of Summersville, passed away Wednesday June 18,2025 at the United Healthcare Center in Bridgeport. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow Ray and Maude Ami Hamrick Barnette and was born in Clay County May 7,1943. Wanda was a homemaker; she enjoyed quilting and playing bingo.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Carrol "Nick" Nicholas, daughter Angela Mae Barnette and siblings, Delano and Carl Barnette, Grace Adkins and Hilda Thomas.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday June 21st at the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville with Pastor Ed Groves officiating. Burial will follow at the WV Memorial Gardens in Calvin. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
