VIOLET SPENCER,  82 years of age of Summersville, went to her Heavenly Home Friday May 30,2025 while being cared for by her children and niece Jeanie Triplett,  at the home of her beloved cousin, sister-in-law and lifelong best friend, Julie Spencer, surrounded by love and comfort in her final moments. Violet's gentle spirit left this world as quietly and gracefully as she lived.  She was the daughter of the late Thurman and Annamae Hamrick Tinnel and was born at Birch River February 3,1943.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Jimmy Spencer, daughter-in-law Tess Spencer; granddaughter Ashley Spencer; and siblings Frank Tinnel, Nelson Tinnel, and Mary Crites.

She is surviving by her children:

Violet so loved her grandbabies and was very happy to have recently learned that she has another

Great Grandchild and Great-Great Grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday June 3rd in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating. Burial will follow in the Spruce Run Cemetery at Muddlety. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
