Sybil Elaine McCue, 75 years of age of Canvas, passed away Friday August 23, 2024 in the Peyton Hospice House at Lewisburg.  She was the daughter of the late Elmer Collett and Agnes Taylor and was born at Powellton, WV on May 7, 1949.  Sybil was a school teacher and the owner of a dance theatre in the 1970's.  She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and had a very strong love for animals, especially dogs and birds.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Stephen McCue and one brother, Tom Harlan.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 27, 2024 at their family cemetery on their farm in Canvas.  The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
