Susan D. Perrine Jones of Summersville,  passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Tuesday June17, 2025.  Susie was born on February 4, 1958 to the late Ralph and Lorena Perrine of Muddlety.  She was a 1976 graduate of Nicholas County High School and went on to get degrees at Glenville State College and Marshall University.  Susie taught in the Nicholas County School System for the next four decades.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  a sister Charlotte Mullens, and brother Sherwood Perrine.

Mrs. Jones was a mentor, friend, and counselor to hundreds of students over the years.  Susie had the best sense of humor, the best laugh, and put the "spirit" in spirit week.   Surviving to help cherish her memory, in addition to those she enlightened in her career, are her husband and stepson, Clarence Jones and CJ Jones, along with two sisters, Paunda McCutcheon and Twyla Dolan.  Susie leaves behind a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends that will be telling her stories and jokes for years to come.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday June 23rd at the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville  Burial will follow at the Dodrill Cemetery in Birch River. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Monday.
