SAMUEL  ALLEN  THOMAS,  80 years of age of Mt. Lookout, died Monday May 25,2026 in the Hilltop Nursing Center. He was the son of the late Medroe and Nina Mae Deal Thomas and was born in Summersville on May 9, 1946. Sam was a devoted husband and father; he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968. He was a retired coal truck driver.

He was also preceded in death by his loving wife JoAnn, daughter Samantha Ann Thomas, son Robert "Bobby" Perdew and sister Elizabeth Ann Overbaugh.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday May 29th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Danny Hagan officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Dalton Cemetery at Peach Orchard. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Friday.
