Rebecca K "Becky" Groves Bailey, a lifelong resident of Canvas, WV, passed away peacefully at Ruby Hospital in Morgantown on Thursday December 2, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Becky was born to Jennings and Jean Groves on June 15, 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 43 years, Leslie "Shorty" Bailey, son Josh and wife Jess Bailey, daughters Christina Bailey and Angel and husband Brett Bailey, and by her grandchildren who brought so much joy and light into her life, Zach and Emily Bailey, Erica and Camden Lawrence, and Jaxson Bailey and great granddaughter Adley Bailey.  In addition, she is also survived by brothers Gary Groves and wife Debbie, John Groves and wife Chrissy, and Rick McKinney and wife Kay. Becky also left several nieces and nephews who she adored.

Becky was a graduate of Nicholas County High School, Class of 1972, and worked as a lab technician at Sacred Heart Hospital in Richwood and Summersville Memorial Hospital.  She was a child of the King, an intercessor prayer warrior, and loved her Lord with all her heart. Becky was a wonderful wife, mother and Nan. She was a sweet friend to many, always giving generously where there was need. She will be deeply missed.

As per her wishes, there will be a memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Restoration Fellowship Church where Becky attended. All donations will go directly to local families in need and can be mailed to 1118 Old Mt. Nebo Rd, Mt. Nebo WV 26679.
