PAUL  EDWIN  NELSON,  76 of Summersville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday June 29, 2022.  He was the son of the late Edwin F. and Goldie Knotts Nelson and was born at Gallipolis, Ohio May 25, 1946.  Paul worked for Akron Brass in Wooster, Ohio before moving to Lancaster, where he retired from General Machine.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Summersville and enjoyed camping, fishing and being with his family and friends, who he loved dearly.  Paul was a U.S. Air Force veteran, after graduating high school, he served in Germany as an airplane mechanic and electrician.

Following his discharge, he met and married Mary Jane Lane Keener of Apple Creek, Ohio and currently resides in Summersville.

He was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call at the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday

July 5, 2022.  His body will be cremated at the conclusion of services.  Burial of his cremains will follow at a later date in the family cemetery.
