NIERENE  GRIZZELL  SEBERT,  86 years of age of Summersville, passed away Tuesday February 17,2026 at the Summersville Healthcare Center. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Ray and Emogene Legg Halstead and was born in Kanawha County December 25, 1939. Nierene was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church at Pool.

She was also preceded in death by infant daughter Vicki Lynn Beirne and daughter Kelli Dempsey, former husband Ralph Hamrick, brother Randy Halstead and infant great granddaughter Laura Lee Epling.

The family would like to thank all those at the Summersville Healthcare Center that took care of her throughout her stay there and the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church ladies for providing a meal for the family.

In keeping with her wishes, private graveside services were conducted Sunday February 22nd in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Pool with Pastor Doug Beam officiating.

The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville was in charge of the arrangements.
