NELSON  EDDY  TINNEL,  87 years of age of Summersville , passed away Thursday October 10,2024 in the Bowers Hospice House at Beckley. He was the son of the late Thurman and Annamae Hamrick Tinnel and was born at Birch River February 21,1937. Nelson was a retired coal miner, a past president of the Nicholas County Historical Society, and a member of the Muddlety United Methodist Church.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Dolores, son Michael, brother Frank Tinnel and sister Mary Crites.

Expecting his first Great-Great Granddaughter

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday October 16th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery at Muddlety. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
