Matthew Scott Zuniga, 38 years of age of Birch River, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in the St. Francis Hospital at Charleston.  He was the son of Juanita Tinnel Zuniga of Birch River and the late Felix Zuniga, Jr. and was born at Sutton on February 2, 1983.  He attended the Powells Mountain Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his beloved grandparents,

Glen and Mellie Tinnel and Uncle Roger Tinnel.

Surviving besides his devoted mother, Juanita are aunts and uncles.

Gary and Betty Tinnel of Cottle,

Linda and James Hamrick of Birch River,

Allen and Cherie Tinnel of Charleston,

Joan Facemire of Mt. Nebo,

and a host of cousins and friends.

Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Beulah Baptist  Cemetery at Muddlety with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating.

Waters Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
