MARGARET  ANN  HOLMES,  90 years of age of Whitewater, passed away Friday July 17,2026 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lovey Fisher Blake Jr. and was born at Fenwick February 14,1936. Margaret was retired from the Summersville Memorial Hospital after working 37 years in housekeeping. She was a Pentecostal by faith, loved family gatherings and grandchildren and was compassionate and generous to all.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Harry "Buster" Holmes, a son Ricky Holmes, daughters Tammy and Linda Lou Holmes and brother Buster Blake.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday July 23rd at the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville with Pastor Arnold Nicholas and Pastor Gene Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the West Virginia Memorial Gardens at Calvin. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
