LAVERNE  LAWSON  HARPER,  86 of Summersville passed away Wednesday August 4, 2021 in the Summersville Regional Medical Center.  She was the daughter of the late John N. and Elsie Smith Lawson and was born at Rainelle April 26, 1935.  Laverne was a retired lab tech for the Summersville Memorial Hospital from 1977 to 2000 and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Howard, one son Nick and one grandson Huston.

Daughter       Christy Eplee     of San Antonio, Texas

Brother           Stanley Lawson        of Norfolk, Virginia

Sister-in-Law        Pamela Harper       of Harrisonburg, Virginia

4 Grandchildren       Matthew, Maria, Emily and Jonathan

3 Great Grandchildren        Christian, Eric and Noah

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday August 10 ^th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Jeremy Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coal City Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
