Julie Beth Edwards was born June 26, 1998 in Summersville,  to her parents, Randy Lee Edwards and Cathy Smith Edwards of Mt. Lookout. She died Oct 28, 2023 of a sudden illness in Lake Butler, Florida where she had lived almost 3 yrs.

During her life, she was an avid reader and artist. She made many special memories with family and friends, and she attended the Powells Mountain Baptist Church, once even teaching a Vacation Bible School class for the younger children.

Julie was a 2016 Nicholas County High School graduate. She had worked at Walmart in Summersville,  more recently at a Walgreens in Florida, excited to be a pharmacy tech.

In addition to her parents, others left to cherish her memory include: Her sister Cassie Mullens and brother-in-law Blake, their children — her nephew Ryker and niece Camri; her paternal grandparents Brenda and Wayne Walker; many aunts, uncles and cousins; also the love of her life for over 8 yrs, Cage Lynch; his grandparents Sandra and Mike Lynch; and her beloved dog Emmie. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Buster and Cleo Savage Smith.

Funeral services will be  conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday November 7th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Glade Creek.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening.

The family appreciates prayer and asks that we all make loving our children, family and friends a great priority, and thanking God for them.
