JOYCE  "EVIE"  BUKOVESKY,  78 of Summersville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday October 19,2024.  Joyce was born on October 8,1946 in Akron, Ohio and soon after, she was adopted by Joe and Anna Mae Shaw. Joyce married the love of her life John on May 29,1968. Together in 56 years of marriage, they showed what true devotion and love truly meant. They were blessed to raise three children: Bryon (Vicki) Bukovesky, Joanne (Mark) Strickland and Kim (James) Vickers. Joyce had nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law Mary and Beth Bukovesky and a niece, whom she dearly loved Sharon Lavy.

Joyce exemplified God's love to those who knew her. She was a very caring, selfless and supporting person. Joyce was always putting the needs of others before her own. She never met a stranger. God blessed John and her with a special ministry for fourteen years to nursing homes, which brought them so much joy. Not only did Joyce love people, she loved animals and she especially loved dogs and going to the zoo. When Joyce was at home she enjoyed watching TV, as she scrolled on Facebook. She lived a life of faith, hope and love and we who knew her experienced it first hand.

We would also like to thank our family and friends for all the love, support and prayers we received.

A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Saturday December 7th in the Pierson Chapel Church at Whitewater with Bryon Bukovesky officiating.

The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville was in charge of arrangements.
