James Edward Smith

James Edward Smith, 78 years of age of Summersville passed away Wednesday December 6, 2023 in the Bowers Hospice House at Beckley following an extended illness.  He was the son of the late Virgil and Genieve Ward Smith and was born at home on January 25, 1945.  James was a coal miner.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a spouse Margaret Ann Smith in 2013

A Visitation will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville.  His body will be cremated following the service.
