ICIE  GIRLDINE  HICKS,  99 of Birch River died Saturday February 4,2023 in the Hubbard Hospice House at Charleston.  She was the daughter of the late Porter and Rachael Matheny Browning and was born at Strange Creek September 30, 1923.  Icie was a homemaker.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence Hicks, Sons Archie Everett Hicks and Roger Dale Hicks and daughter Brenda Sue Woods.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday February 9 ^th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Jim Murphy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery at Keeners Ridge.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
