HAYLEY MAE (SHORT) PHARES,  22 years of age of Poe, went in the blink of an eye from holding the wheel to holding the hand of Jesus Friday January 24,2025 as the result of an automobile accident at Mt. Nebo. She was the daughter of Marshall Short of Cowen and Rana Nelson Crites and her husband Christopher of Birch River and was born at Summersville May 20,2002.  Hayley was a travel health provider for 360 Care, a Christian and member of the First Baptist Church at Craigsville. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, hiking and caring for animals. Although we mourn our loss, we are comforted by knowing what she has gained.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday January 31st in the First Baptist Church at Craigsville with Pastor Levi Bragg officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
