GURTHA  GRACE  ADKINS,  85 of Enon passed away Friday April 19,2024 in the Peyton Hospice House at Lewisburg.  She was the daughter of the late Ray and Maude Hamrick Barnette and was born at Swandale December 12,1938.  Grace was a homemaker, owner of Grace's Grocery at Enon and a home interior representative. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her children and grandchildren, as well as cakes for her family and friends. Grace was a Baptist by faith.

She was also preceded in death by her husband John E. Adkins, son Gary, grandson Travis, brothers  Delano and Carl Barnette, sister Hilda Thomas..

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday April 23rd in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.  Burial will follow in the W.V. Memorial Gardens at Calvin.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
