FRED ANDREW ROBERTS, 84 years of age of Summersville, WV, passed away Thursday October 15,2026 at the Summersville Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Ephraim and Dortha Mullens Roberts and was born at Gad, WV on November 30,1941. Fred was a deputy assessor for more than twenty years and then served as the Nicholas County Assessor for twelve years. He was a 1960 graduate of NCHS, a member and deacon of the Summersville Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all his achievements, his proudest role was being a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was also preceded in death by siblings; Harvey, Owen, Arthur, Okey, and Junior Roberts, Beulah Jackson, Marie Dooley, Lou Skaggs and Edith Sparks.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday October 20th at the Summersville Baptist Church with Pastor Dana Gatewood officiating. Burial will follow at the Walker Memorial Park in Summersville. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.
