DORIS  JEAN  WILLIAMS,  88 years of age of Cottle, passed away Tuesday July 14,2026 at the Summersville Healthcare Center. She was the daughter of the late William Woodrum and Ruby Florence Short Dailey and was born at Widen May 5,1938. Doris was a former employee of G.C. Murphy's, a homemaker and enjoyed crafting, gardening and canning.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Dayton Williams, son Alan Williams and sisters Judith Spencer and Francis D'Ambrosio.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday July 17th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating. Burial will follow in the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin. Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Friday.
