DONALD  EUGENE  MALCOLM,  89 years of age of Keslers Cross Lanes, passed away Wednesday March 6, 2024 in the Summersville Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John Stewart Malcolm and Zina Opal Slater and was born at Keslers Cross Lanes July 1, 1934.  Don was a retired U.S Navy veteran with 28 years of service and a former employee of the Fayette County Board of Education. He was the owner of the Mohawk campground at Keslers Cross Lanes and a member of the Open Arms Baptist Church at Mt. Nebo. Don was also a member of the Summersville Masonic Lodge #76 and Eastern Star Lodge #52, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading.

He was also preceded in death by his stepmother Stella Mae Malcolm.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday March 11th in the Open Arms Baptist Church at Mt. Nebo with Pastor Pat Bennett and Pastor Jeff Sevy officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Zoar Cemetery at Keslers Cross Lanes. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
