Diana Lynn
Brown
Dec 29, 1961 — Aug 2, 2026
Diana Lynn Sebert Brown passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, after an extended illness. Diana was born on December 29, 1961, in Summersville, the first daughter of James (Jim) Sebert and Patricia (Patty) Painter Sebert. She was a lifelong resident of Summersville, a graduate of Nicholas County High School, class of 1980, and she later obtained an honors degree in Business Administration from Glenville State College.
Diana's life was challenging due to injuries she sustained in a terrible car accident in 1987, but she pushed herself, in her true stubborn fashion, to raise her daughter and dote on her treasured grandsons. She spent countless hours at the baseball field, the football stadium and the basketball court fiercely cheering for those grandsons who were truly the light of her life. She loved and was loved by all animals, large and small, and lovingly cared for several pets over the years. She had a passion for Mountaineer football, and every game day was an event with her dad and her sisters. Diana was also a child of God.
Diana was preceded in death by her father, James Sebert. Her passing is mourned by her doting mother, Patricia Sebert, her precious daughter, Megan Savage (Dustin), her beloved grandsons, Nicholas Donato and Nathan Donato, her adoring sisters, Lori Scott (Bill) and Sara McClung (Douglas) and by her loving nieces and nephews, Lauren Ford, Emma Ford, Logan McClung, Jack McClung and Luca McClung.
The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville was in charge of the arrangements.
