DELMAS  FRANKLIN  "SKIPPY" McCLUNG,  79 of Canvas died Tuesday July 19, 2022 in the Bowers Hospice House at Beckley.  He was the son of the late Samuel Waitman and Ruth C. Adkins McClung and was born at Persinger December 4, 1942.  Delmas graduated from Nicholas County High School in 1960. He joined the U.S. Army and was deployed to Regensburg, Germany where he met and married the love of his life Waltraud "Trudy". He was a Baptist by faith.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Waltraud "Trudy" and daughter Belinda L. McClung.  Brothers; Samuel A. "Sonny", Floyd W. "Buster", Benjamin L. "Benny" and David A. McClung.

Sisters; Emogene Jackson, Ernestine Perkins and Geraldine Byran.

Skip will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday July 23 ^rd in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Glade Creek.

The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville is in charge of arrangements.
