CODY  JOHN  MULLENS,  28 of Mt. Hope died Thursday April 13, 2023, while fighting a forest fire on Armstrong Creek, near Montgomery.  He was the son of John Dayton and Debra Lynn Barnette Mullens of Calvin and was born at Summersville October 6, 1994. Cody was a forester and employee of the WV Division of Forestry.  He loved camping, hunting, fishing, transformers and reading.  He was a past president of the Glenville Science Fiction Guild.  Most of all, Cody loved his family, friends,  job and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather's Delano Barnette and Alva Mullens.

Surviving in addition to his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday April 19 ^th in the Summersville Armory and Convention Center with Chaplain Charles Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow in the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin.  Friends may call at the armory from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville is in charge of arrangements.
