CHARLES  HOMER  DUFFIELD,  85 years of age Charleston, formerly of Summersville, died Tuesday May 14, 2024 in the Hubbard Hospice House at South Charleston.  He was the son of the late Fred and Mary Duffield and was born in Braxton County March 21, 1939.  Charlie was a retired coal miner and former mayor of East Bank.  He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Reynolds Street Baptist Church in Summersville.

He was also preceded in death by one son Fred Duffield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday May 18th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating. Burial will follow in the Sirk Cemetery at Duck.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
