BETTY  LAVONNE  SMITH,  85 of Persinger passed away Friday February 3,2023 in the Plateau Medical Center at Oak Hill.  She was the daughter of the late Charles Harris and Gladys Belle Martin Mullens and was born at Craigsville April 15,1937.  Betty was a homemaker and member of the Little Union Baptist Church at Calvin. She enjoyed canning, gardening, baking and the Bluegrass Festival.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Winfield Smith and siblings Reed, James and Carol Harris.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday February 7 ^th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Shawn Frame officiating. Burial will follow in the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
