BETTY  JEAN  (DOUGLAS)  HAMRICK,  74 years of age of Summersville, passed away peacefully at home Saturday May 2,2026, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Ivy Pearl Douglas and Frank White and was born at Clay December 8,1951. She was the former owner of Betty's Grocery and a volunteer at the Summersville Memorial Hospital.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Darrell E. Hamrick, two sons; Roger and Edward Hamrick, grandson; Nathanial Hamrick, great grandson; Darrell Jean Johnson and siblings; June White, Jim White, Lonnie Douglas, and Linda Lou Hamrick.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday May 8th in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from noon until service time on Friday.
