AGNES E. VARNEY, 82 years of age of Summersville, passed away Tuesday October 8, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.  She was the daughter of the late Clarence Wilburn and Alexia Elizabeth Miller McBride and was born at Logan on April 3, 1942.  Agnes was a retired Field & Stream real estate agent and a charter member of the Mt. State Baptist Church in Summersville, where she also taught Sunday school.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Varney, one son David Varney, one daughter Jo Ann Varney, one brother Bobby Ray Miller and two sisters Marenda Grass and Mabel Vinson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday October 14th in the Mt. State Baptist Church at Summersville with Pastor Mark Secrist officiating.  Burial will follow in the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin.     Friends may call at the Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville from 6 to 8 p.m.  Sunday evening.
