Aaron Edward Ramsey, 36, of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away on April 30, 2026. He was born in Beckley, West Virginia, to Eddie Ramsey and Kathy Bays.

Aaron never met a stranger. He had a kind soul, a big heart, and a sense of humor that could light up a room. Aaron found joy in cooking, playing basketball, and relaxing at home.

Like many, Aaron faced personal struggles, including addiction. He fought hard battles that do not define him, but rather show his strength, vulnerability, and humanity. Through it all, he remained deeply loved by his family, who never stopped believing in him and cherishing the good he brought into their lives.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Abigail Lynn Ramsey Hypes and Tabitha Sue Holley. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Kathy Bays, and stepfather, Blaine Bays; his father, Morris (Eddie) Ramsey, Jr.; his sister, Alicia (George) Bossie; his stepsister Jinger (Fred) Ford; his stepbrother Coleman (Kate) Bays; and his grandmother, Dot Ramsey, all of whom loved him dearly and will miss him terribly.

A memorial service to celebrate Aaron's life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Recovery Point of West Virginia, in hopes of helping others find the support and healing Aaron sought.

The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville was in charge of the arrangements.
